As a Software Engineer at Nokia, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our Network Management Systems platform for Optical/Transport Networks. You will collaboratively develop and integrate Micro Service components, driving innovation within a dynamic, cross-functional team dedicated to delivering high-quality software solutions. - Develop and enhance Micro Service components for Network Management Systems in Optical/Transport Networks.
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate and integrate open-source software to maintain product functionality and improve system architecture.
- Drive continuous improvement in software quality, architecture, and development methodologies.
- Contribute to team decisions, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and innovation.
- Monitor and address technical debt while balancing cost/benefit in enhancements and features.
- Mentor junior engineers, guiding them in best practices and fostering their professional growth.
- MSc / BS in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented concepts, data structures, and multi-threading
- Proficiency in database concepts
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with Java, J2EE, EJB 3.1, Hibernate, JPA, GWT
- Familiarity with application servers, especially WildFly
- Knowledge of Angular programming
- Experience with network technologies (e.g., Ethernet, IP, DWDM) and REST/Event Driven Architecture (e.g. Kafka, NATs)
