IIOT DevOps Engineer
MAIN PURPOSE / CONTEXT
Our Manufactures have embarked into the Industry 4.0 journey to accelerate digitalization and support more connected operational use cases that accelerate delivery of efficiency and quality.
The IIOT Team builds, delivers and manages a low-code Industrial IOT Platform and tools that are made available internal clients and helps then achieve their Industry 4.0 vision. Besides, we also train and support our internal developers on the usage of the IIOT platform and make sure that platform capabilities are regularly reviewed and upgraded to continuously meet the client’s needs.
We strive to provide those capabilities with advanced security requirements in mind. Thus, we seek a DevOps Engineer with a software development & security mindset, and the usual DevOps stack knowledge.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
As an IIOT DevOps Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our mission to bridge the gap between IT and OT, that leverages strong data foundations, a modern architecture, and latest IT technologies and practices to democratize the access to operational data and accelerate value generation.
You will continuously deploy, operate and monitor a cloud-based, low-code IIOT platform comprising multiple loosely coupled services and technologies in an event-driven architecture. Additionally, you will build tools that automate repetitive, non-value adding activities and enable good SDLC practices in a low-code development environment.

Soft skills
- At least, 2–4 years’ experience in Software/DevOps Engineering, ideally in a large company / international environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional agile teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proactive and self-organized with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Strong documentation skills to create clear and concise technical documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to automate and simplify workflows.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
Technical skills
- Overall technical knowledge to be expected from a seasoned DevOps engineer with a software developer background.
- Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and scripting.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Gitlab, ArgoCD).
- Experience in monitoring platforms (DataDog).
- Experience with version control systems (Gitlab) and Artefact Registry tools (JFrog)
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible).
- Knowledge of networking concepts (OSI model, IPV4, subnetting, firewalls, DNS).
- Understanding software development practices, including agile methodologies, code reviews, and unit testing.
- Specific knowledge regarding GitLab and JFrog would be a plus.
- Good experience with Docker, AWS or GCP and Kubernetes. Certification is a plus.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing and OT context is a plus.
