As a Software Engineer in the BBSoC RCP SW team, your role includes developing and integrating software components for Cloud RAN applications. You will work closely with global teams to design, implement and test software while ensuring high-quality standards and continuous improvement.

Start date (tentative): September 2025
Location: On-site in Amadora, Portugal
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Portugal
- Develop features and integrate software components
- Plan and collaborate within a global team
- Contribute to platform, DevOps, and CI/CD
- Perform software testing and quality assurance
- Define testable requirements and create test plans
- Investigate issues, drive bug fixes, and conduct RCA/EDA
- Develop troubleshooting tools (Python) and optimize code
- Participate in improvement projects and best practices
- Strong skills in cellular systems, cloud computing, or software development are valued
You have:
- Familiarity in software development and testing
- Knowldge of C++, Golang, or Python for development and testing
- Contact with Linux environments
It would be nice if you also had:
- Knowledge of agile software development and CI/CD practices
- Understanding of cloud runtime environments
- Familiarity with telecommunication architecture (e.g., 5G Radio Network)
- Knowledge of Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) principles, including Kubernetes
- Experience with open-source software and platform services
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git, GitLab, and Gerrit
