Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Barista and Waiter/ess to join our vibrant team. As a key part of our café, you will ensure customers enjoy a seamless experience, from ordering to enjoying their meals in a welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve food and beverage preparation, customer service, maintaining a clean and inviting café, and supporting our social media efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring a pleasant experience for all visitors.
Barista/ Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including specialty coffee drinks, tea, and other menu items, according to company standards and customer preferences.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Train other staff for this.
Food & Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve food and drinks behind the counter, maintaining quality, quantity and presentation standards.
Billing & Payment: Handle café billing and process payments using our POS system, ensuring all transactions are accurate.
Café Setup & Cleanliness: Clear tables, arrange cutlery and crockery, and maintain a tidy and hygienic dining and other guest utilised areas of the café. Set up the café to create an inviting atmosphere.
Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring all areas of the café are clean and sanitized.
Inventory Support: Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed and informing management of low stock.
Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team, assisting colleagues in busy periods and ensuring smooth café operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a café or hospitality setting.
- Previous experience as a Barista
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, especially in food preparation and cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
