Job purpose
As an Operations Execution Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the Operations Execution Team, ensuring accurate and timely support for international commodity transactions. This role requires strong coordination skills, operational oversight, and cross-functional collaboration with global teams.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Porto Operations Execution Team, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring operational efficiency.
Train and mentor new team members, monitor performance, and foster continuous development within the team.
Define, implement, and track KPIs to ensure service excellence and operational accuracy.
Review and approve payment flows related to freight, goods, broker commissions, and other execution-related costs.
Act as the main point of contact for the team, supporting issue resolution and guiding decision-making on escalated matters.
Provide execution support to COFCO entities in Uruguay, USA, Brazil, Turkey, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Egypt.
Monitor operational reports to identify pending actions or gaps in support services, ensuring timely resolution.
Support and optimize key processes, including: Contract washouts; CIRCLE and CIRCLE/WO operations; Broker commission payments; Freight and goods payments; Counterparty onboarding; Completion and review of KYC documentation; Technical oils operations in Rotterdam.
Requirements
Degree in International Relations (preferable);
An experience in a similar position is required (transactional trade & administration);
English language fluent both written and spoken;
Able to work on their own initiative, under time pressure and in a methodical, detailed and accurate fashion;
Very clear and precise communicator both verbally and in writing;
Team Player possessing ability to work and integrate with other teams;
Strong interest for the commodities business with a first experience.
