Our Portugal team is looking forward to welcoming a Senior Mendix Engineer to our Low-Code team to build and deploy applications and solutions to support customers’ requirements and business goals. You will lead the solution design and development team taking our clients to the next level. You will be part of a team of application engineers and design and develop exciting applications for our clients.
Within this role your responsibilities and tasks will include:
- Leading and organizing team activities, being on top of project delivery, delegating work, and managing capacity
- Assess the technical feasibility of business ideas.
- Be the primary point of contact for the client and the delivery team
- Evaluate and develop solutions for scalability, performance, and efficiency.
- Seek out and build relationships with key stakeholders
- Design and implement solutions together with your team and provide demonstrations to clients
- Be aware of and make use of Roboyo’s architectural principles, models, patterns, and perspective in order to develop solutions independently for our clients.
- Establish and implement metrics to optimize team delivery and measure business agility in terms of predictability, reliability, and adaptability
- Liaise with client technical and business teams as needed during the design, implementation, testing, and release phases
- Supervise, mentor, and develop other employees on application and implementation methodologies
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in yourself and the team in order to aid the continual improvement of our delivery services
- Proactively seek out opportunities to cross-sell other product lines/services and account expansion– e.g. Automation and LEAN, Advisory, Automation Engineering (RPA, IDP, Conversational AI, BPM), Process & Task Mining, Managed Services or Converge)
- Continual improvement of service to our Clients ensuring the required impact is met.
Experience, skills and qualifications you’ll need to do what you love at Roboyo:
- University or equivalent degree (B.S. or M.S.) in Computer Science, Business & Information Systems Engineering, or related technical field
- At least 3 years of experience in hand’s on application development in Mendix and application-level architecting, designing, and development activities, with a good understanding of Appian/Mendix architectural principles, models, patterns, and perspective in order to develop solutions independently
- Experience in programming IT solutions, preferably with .NET, C#, VBA, or Java
- Appian Lead Developer / Mendix Expert Credential is a big plus
- Experience with other automation technologies (RPA, IDP, Conversational AI, etc.) is of great advantage
- Experience in JavaScript, jQuery, Typescript and REACT is preferable
- Experience in Service Design Methodology, UX/CX principles, and Product Owner role is advantageous
- Good communication skills and social competence for strong customer relationships
- Understanding company processes, with experience in process consulting, is advantageous
- Willingness and ability to travel to client site
- Fluent in English
