The Supply Chain Material Planner is responsible for ensuring the availability of materials to support production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels and following the global material replenishment process.
This role involves coordinating with production planners, site master planner, procurement, production, warehouse and suppliers to plan, schedule, and monitor material flow in alignment with the requirements.
The challenge:
Material Planning & Scheduling

Guarantee adherence to the Global Material planning process

Develop and maintain material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules and forecasts.

Generate and manage purchase orders to ensure timely material availability.

Monitor and adjust plans as needed to reflect changes in demand, lead times, or production priorities.

Proactively communicate and take actions when delays or risk of delays happen.
Inventory Management

Optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Track slow-moving and obsolete items and recommend disposition strategies.

Conduct regular inventory analysis and reconcile discrepancies with warehouse and production.
Supplier Coordination

Collaborate with suppliers to confirm material availability, delivery dates, and order acknowledgements.

Proactively resolve potential supply disruptions and escalate risks as needed.

Monitor supplier performance related to on-time delivery and material quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Production Planning, Site master planning, production and warehouse to ensure alignment on material requirements, inventory levels and timelines.

Provide input to Local S&OP and participate in planning meetings as needed.
System & Data Management

Maintain accurate material data in ERP systems (e.g., item lead times, order quantities, safety stock).

Generate reports and KPIs related to material planning performance and inventory health.
The successful candidate will have:

Industrial Engineer or similar
-
Proficient english level
-
Minimum of 5 years in Supply Chain Planning related roles

Must have manufacturing environment related experience
-
Experience in medical devices company is a plus
- Experienced use of IT systems (e.g. Excel and ERP systems)
- Good understanding of databases (preferably Oracle databases)
- Black Belt or Lean certification is a plus
- APICS is a plus
- Travel up to continuous periods of 3 weeks, for a maximum of 9 weeks per year (only during first year) and afterwards up to 10% per year.
