Financial Planning and Analysis Team
At Cyncly our performance management structure is split into Group Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Commercial Finance. This role sits in the FP&A team with the purpose of supporting a wide range of stakeholders including, the VP of Finance, Snr Manager of FP&A, the Commercial Finance Team and HR Directors
FP&A’s mission is to provide scalable, data orientated, and actional insight and reporting to drive proactive and reactive decision making across the group. We deliver across 4 key areas:
- Provide reporting on group performance for key stakeholders.
- Provide group level analysis to improve insight to drive decision making.
- Drive the implementation and use of better systems/dashboards/process to improve insight and remove low value work
- Optimise performance to drive better outcomes across the group.
About the role
Payroll insight is essential to Cycnly’s financial performance. C.75% of Cyncly’s Cost Base is on Payroll, spending over $150m. Reporting into a Senior Manager of FP&A, the FP&A Analyst will support data-centric processes and analysis to support key strategic and operational decisions. The work will focus on functional business partnering with the opportunity to become a true expert in headcount, payroll and people related analysis and reporting of the business.
This role provides significant growth opportunities for the right candidate as it offers the depth and breadth of both multi-geography and multi-business line exposure in a fast growing, dynamic, and acquisitive software business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Business partnering
- Support HR Directors on group financial analysis E.g.
- Modelling proposed group payrises across 20+ countries
- Savings from hiring in different locations plans
- Costing up different bonus payouts options
- Bring out Group Insight on payroll that drives decision making.
- Automate Processes leaving more time for insight
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Run payroll forecasting process to gain a deep understanding of all payroll related costs and drivers
- Support monthly reporting processes.
- Run and manage group headcount analysis and reporting, including Management packs and contributions to board slides.
- Oversee the Dashboard & Payroll reporting tools to ensure their accuracy (with support from Data analyst & payroll).
- Working closely with other Business Partner’s within Commercial Finance team to align and manage hiring plans
- Working closely with HR teams & Accounting to align Commercial Finance objectives and understand performance

- EPM/ Hyperion
- Think-Cell
- Arixcel. Simple excel plug-in that adds a lot of value
- Chat GBT in Automation (The business is moving toward increase automation using Chat GBT.
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with wider team members
- Strong Excel user preferred (problem solving in excel vs being a calculator)
- Comfortable working with large data sets and performing complex modelling
- PowerPoint user
- To be successful, a proactive, entrepreneurial, can-do attitude will be important
