In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals in an international environment, working closely with team members based in both Paris and Porto. As a Senior Tech Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving the architectural decisions, leverage cutting-edge technologies and lead the development of robust, scalable payment solutions while ensuring the successful implementation of high-quality solutions. You'll have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where creativity and collaboration are encouraged, and your contributions will directly influence the success of our project.
In this international role, you will collaborate with a diverse team located in Paris. Your leadership will empower the team to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders in the payment’s domain.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and architecture of an innovative payment solution, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with the architects, the product owner and all the stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable guidelines and tasks for the development team.
- Oversee the development process, providing guidance and support to team members while ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
- Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team by promoting the use of modern technologies and development methodologies.
- Ensure that measures are being put in place by the technical/development team so code quality, performance, and maintainability objectives are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise during the development process and in production environments.
- Collaborate with other Tech Leads and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment across teams and share best practices within the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on our projects and overall strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend technologies and architecture, preferably in the payments or financial services industry.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and projects, demonstrating strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in Java (latest versions, 17 or 21; 21 preferred) and related technologies, with hands-on experience in developing scalable applications.
- Knowledge of Spring Boot Framework - 3.4.x or 3.5
- A good understanding of Angular 21 or close
- Knowledge of kafka and Spring Batch
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., OpenShift, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and best practices in software development.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good level of English - minimum B2 (mandatory);
- Proficiency in French is highly valued;
- Availability to come to the office 2 days per week;
- Availability to travel abroad for short periods of time, if required

Start your day having breakfast with the Team and grab fresh fruit on the way to your seat, in one of Porto’s most typical neighborhoods. This Purple Day is going to be a busy one: daily meeting ensuring all team members are on the same page regarding work status, priorities and blockers, language class and, just after, a Talent Management meeting with your manager, discussing your career path.
