WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join the Product, Practice & Knowledge (PPK) group in our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Divestitures practice, a global capability team that supports clients through transformative portfolio moves across the full M&A lifecycle—from strategy and diligence to integration and divestitures.
You’ll collaborate with regional affiliates, industry experts, product leaders, and country leads to shape and scale impact across Bain’s client base.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As an Operations Senior Analyst in our Global Strategy & Operations team, you’ll play a critical role in supporting strategic planning, performance tracking, budgeting, and operational excellence for the M&A and Divestitures practice. You’ll work closely with senior practice leaders and cross-functional teams to help drive our strategic priorities forward.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support the global practice planning process, ongoing business performance reporting, and budgeting
- Design and execute repeatable, scalable reporting models using the latest analytical and AI tools
- Conduct research and analysis on M&A market trends to support publications and strategy
- Prepare executive-level materials for leadership meetings and client discussions
- Track affiliate contributions and support performance management and staffing decisions
- Help organize practice-wide meetings and calls, coordinating logistics and content
- Track commercial pipeline activity and priority client lists, preparing summary materials
- Execute select ad hoc analytics projects and support special initiatives
- Foster collaboration across practices, ensuring seamless coordination and knowledge sharing
- May provide guidance or coaching to junior team members
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials
- 3+ years of professional experience preferred
- Intellectually curious and consistently delivers high-quality, detail-oriented work
- Brings a creative approach to problem-solving, with strong analytical skills
- Regular user of AI and automation tools with a growth mindset
- Self-motivated, organized, and effective working independently and within teams
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders across global teams
- Exercises discretion and integrity when working with confidential information
- Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude
- Proficiency with analytical tools and some coding (e.g., Alteryx, AI/GBT tools, Python, Tableau) and Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
