As part of Minor Hotels, the region of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas is responsible for more than 350 properties in 30 countries and plans to grow across all segments, with a focus on its upper-upscale and luxury brands.
What will be your mission?
As a General Manager (M/F), you will oversee the daily operations of the hotel as well as provide leadership and strategic direction to all departments in support of service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction.
You will plan and supervise the activities of the team members to ensure a smooth and profitable running of business.
What will you do?
- Ensure the coordination and management of the Hotel, reporting to the Regional Operations Director, in order to guarantee the provision of a quality and excellent service, which allows it to exceed customer expectations, value and develop employees and create value for the shareholder;
- Closely monitor F&B operations, ensuring control of the average cost per person and ensuring a quality dining experience;
- To lead and manage the development of the hotel strategy;
- To set the annual budget and then deliver the Revenue and GOP targets of the property. Ensure Forecast and analysis of monthly deviations;
- Manage the product development process to ensure that all projects are consistent with the defined objectives;
- Ensure the recruitment and training of staff approved by Management;
- Effectively lead and manage all day-to-day operational activities of the hotel, through the operational department heads;
- Effectively manage the owner relationship on behalf of the company;
- Successfully position the hotel from a Sales and property Marketing perspective;
- Monitor Revenue Management forecasts and activities;
- Ensure that employees' operational and service skills are constantly improved;
- Represent the company in accordance with the instructions given by the Regional Operations Manager;
- Monitor the market and the hotel's competitive situation;
- Support and implement all company procedures and guidelines.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's Degree in Tourism or Hotel Management;
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a General Manager in the hospitality industry, preferably in all-inclusive operations;
- Strong communication skills and fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish;
- Excellent management and leadership skills and strong analytical skills;
- Previous experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders;
- Strong ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple simultaneous demands and establish priorities appropriate to responsibilities.
