BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Internship – Facilities Area at our production plant in Viana, Portugal.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Facilities Monitoring Plan, contributing to the operational efficiency of building systems;
- Support maintenance technicians in preventive and corrective maintenance activities across various areas (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, civil works);
- Accompany and monitor subcontractors during on-site interventions, ensuring proper execution of tasks and gaining exposure to contractor management practices;
- Comply with environmental, health and safety (EHS), quality, and productivity standards in all assigned activities;
- Adhere to the organization's internal rules and regulations, including the Code of Ethics, conduct guidelines, and working hours;
- Promote and maintain workplace safety, cleanliness, and organization at all times;
- Perform additional tasks, beyond the primary scope of the internship, when required due to operational needs or training opportunities, under the guidance of the supervisor.
Education & Experience
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a vocational or technical program in Electromechanics, Building Maintenance, HVAC/AVAC Systems, or a related field;
- Strong interest in building systems maintenance and willingness to learn in a practical, hands-on environment;
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility;
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from experienced technicians and supervisors;
- Basic knowledge of tools and safety procedures (preferred);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus.
