About the Opportunity

At Driscoll’s, the world’s leading berry company, data is becoming central to how we delight consumers, support growers, and lead in sustainable farming. As we expand globally and deepen our environmental and social commitments, we’re looking for a data-savvy professional to join us on this journey.

This is more than a traditional Data Analyst role—it’s a rare opportunity to help shape a Data Science function from the ground up. As the first dedicated hire into this growing team, you’ll help build the data foundations for CSRD compliance and other critical priorities like food safety, environmental, and social reporting. These areas demand structured, transparent, high-quality data—and your work will be essential to delivering that.

The role will primarily support the Compliance team, focusing on reliable, scalable solutions for CSRD and other regulatory needs. At the same time, it’s designed to contribute to cross-functional business topics—particularly where advanced analytics are needed, or internal resources are limited. As Compliance needs are increasingly satisfied, more time will shift toward this broader support, enabling the analyst to drive insights across the organization.

If you're excited to blend hands-on analytics with strategic impact—and grow your data science skills while making a real-world difference—this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

Compliance-Focused Analytics Enablement: Build internal analytical capacity in key compliance areas as needs emerge. Design reporting tools and processes to address regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Data Analytics Support: Provide broader analytics support as business needs evolve beyond the initial compliance scope. Act as a flexible partner across functions, leveraging data to drive insight and action.

Data Analytics Development & Visualization: Translate evolving business and regulatory needs into clear, actionable reports and dashboards. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver impactful visualizations that support effective decision-making.

Collaboration with ACE & Data Governance Advocacy: Work closely with Data Stewards and the ACE (Analytics Center of Excellence) core team, of which the Data Science team is a founding member. Actively support data governance efforts by not only aligning with established practices but also championing them across reporting activities and stakeholder interactions

Workflow Automation & Data Standardization: Promote data standardization and lead efforts to automate data preparation workflows, reducing manual effort and increasing reliability across reporting assets.

Platform Integration & Digitalization Support: Support the integration and digitalization of new data platforms (e.g., Safety Chain, TELUS) by working closely with platform leads, business teams, and IS to ensure reporting readiness and data consistency.

Requirement Gathering & Output Validation: Act as a key liaison between data consumers and technical stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and validate deliverables. Ensure outputs meet user expectations and business needs

Collaborate on Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning: Contribute to data science initiatives by supporting the development and implementation of machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions. Collaborate with the Data Science team in prototyping, validating, and integrating models into reporting workflows where relevant.

Template Management & Process Alignment: Maintain and evolve Excel-based data collection templates in alignment with internal processes, particularly in the Compliance context. Ensure templates are intuitive, up-to-date, and embedded in the broader data lifecycle

Data Product Handover & Training: Transfer ownership of data products (developed dashboards, data flows, Machine Learning models to business users). Provide targeted training to ensure confident, effective use and long-term adoption of the data products;

Documentation & Asset Management: Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, dashboards, and data prep flows. Organize reporting assets within shared environments (e.g., Teams, BI portal) to promote visibility, reusability, and continuity.

Access & License Coordination: Support access and licensing processes for BI platforms (e.g., Tableau Creator/Viewer), ensuring the right people have the right tools to engage with analytics effectively.
