Position overview
We are building a new Finance Excellence Centre in Lisbon (Portugal) to support our companies and future acquisitions in HR, finance and other functions. The company is now implementing a single ERP tool and reviewing current processes to improve and automate our Finance operations.
We are seeking a Tax Accountant to support the group’s tax compliance processes, focusing on tax accounting and the preparation of transfer pricing documentation across all jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in tax accounting and reporting, ideally in a multinational or shared service centre environment. This role requires close alignment with the Group Tax Compliance Manager and involves the hands-on preparation of Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), OECD Pillar 2 reporting and tax entries and reviews in our ERP.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare tax accounting entries, reconciliations and disclosures in our ERP
- Support the annual tax close process with accurate and timely tax reporting
- Prepare transfer pricing documentation data, including Local File contributions for all relevant jurisdictions
- Prepare data and draft reports required for Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and Pillar 2 compliance
- Maintain accurate internal documentation (tax packs) to support tax positions across the group
- Assist the Group Tax Compliance Manager in aligning deliverables with global reporting deadlines
- Support standardised audit trails and internal control processes for tax
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes and systems within the Excellence Centre
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, taxation or similar
- Up to [3/5] years of relevant experience in tax accounting or tax compliance
- Experience with global ERP systems
- Working knowledge of international tax principles, particularly transfer pricing
- Familiarity with IFRS and/or European GAAP
- Fluency in English (mandatory); other European languages are a plus
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a proactive mindset
