What you will do
Role Description:
The Senior Associate Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.
You will be part of a team specifically focusing on Global CRM and Marketing capabilities. Amgen is using fully integrated and best in class technologies, having Salesforce.com as core architecture & relying on business capabilities enablers such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement applications and modules
- Take ownership of Development/configuration of user stories
- Possess strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code
- Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using Veeva CRM/Salesforce
- Create and maintain documentation on software design and configuration
- Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively
- Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions and systems and translate them into software design and configuration
- Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software
- Identify and resolve software bugs issues
- Work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently
- Use Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment as part of the DevOps practices and maintain CI/CD Pipelines
- Maintain high standards of code quality, implementing code reviews, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage

Minimum requirements
- Master’s degree with 3 - 4 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related
- Proficient in programming languages Visual Force, Apex, SQL, Java
- Strong expertise in software design principles, and system integration Experience with Devops Tool set (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Copado)
- Proven experience (5 years) as a Software Engineer, leading the design and development of software solutions.
- Proficiency of Veeva CRM development
- Proficiency in Salesforce development
- Proficiency of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git & Release management tools like Copado
Preferred requirements
- Experience with test automation
- Work closely with product team, business team, and other stakeholders
- Certifications related to Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Copado, Safe are advantageous
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
- High degree of initiative and self-motivation
