arrivia, a global leader in the travel industry, is looking for a versatile professional to support our daily financial operations. This is a fully remote position in Portugal, where you'll be a pivotal member of our international team, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency across our UK, Portugal, and India locations. This role is ideal for a financial professional who excels in a dynamic environment and is ready for a new challenge.
What You'll Do:
This role is a great fit for someone who loves to be hands-on with a variety of accounting tasks:
Oversee Core Accounting: Take charge of accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.
Contribute to Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, assisting in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
Manage Reconciliations: Perform detailed bank statement and general ledger account reconciliations, along with invoice reconciliations.
Handle the Payroll Component: Be responsible for payroll processing and review, ensuring full compliance with Portuguese labor laws.
Drive Efficiency: Accurately input accounting entries, conduct monthly cost reconciliations, and assist with budget filing.
What We're Looking For:
We're searching for a dedicated professional who meets the following criteria:
A university degree in Accounting or equivalent professional training.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a corporate accounting or payroll role.
Strong knowledge of Portuguese payroll laws is a must.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Fluency in Portuguese and English (both written and spoken) is essential for effective communication across our international teams.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range: €14,600.00 to €21,900.00 per year.
