Brief Role Description
The Audit Hub Lisbon was founded in cooperation with Volkswagen Group Services in Portugal, a major service partner within the Volkswagen Group. This Global Cross Functional Audit Department, integrated within the Audit Hub Lisbon, supports the Cross Functional Audit Division at Volkswagen AG (in Germany) and conducts audit activities worldwide across external business partners and Volkswagen Group subsidiaries. The focus lies primarily on evaluating their Compliance Management System and on carrying out special investigations on hints reported via the Whistleblower System.
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will report directly to the Head of the Global Cross Functional Audit department, who in turn reports to the Head of the Audit Hub Lisbon. Possible Tasks within this Role
Responsibilities
- Perform worldwide Cross Functional Audits at external business partners (e.g. independent importers) and at various entities within the Volkswagen Group in a leading role pertaining mainly to the Compliance Management System;
- Conduct special investigations regarding hints coming from the Whistleblower System;
- Actively promote continuous improvement of internal processes including enhancement of the existing toolset used to perform the audits;
- Establish and maintain a network with peers in the Internal Audit network and relevant Group Functions, and
- Train new team members on the job to foster effective knowledge transfer and efficient onboarding.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economics or comparable qualification, ideally Master studies
- At least two years of experience in Internal Audit
- At least one professional certification is expected, e.g. CIA, CA, CPA, CFE or CISA
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, esp. in spoken and written English
- Mandatory fluency language skills in French and/or Arabic (additional languages are a plus)
- High team orientation
- High level of personal integrity, independence, tenacity and resilience in executing audits and resolving audit issues, while remaining objective
- Distinctive analytical skills and the critical thinking
- High degree of proactivity and reliability
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Willingness to travel internationally (for on-site audits abroad)
