About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and versatile QA/BA Specialist to join our team remotely. This is a dual-role position where you’ll divide your time between:
- Quality Assurance (QA): Making sure our software works as intended, and
- Business Analysis (BA): Understanding business needs and communicating them clearly to the development team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in both areas who enjoys working across functions.
Key Responsibilities Business Analysis (BA)
- Gather & Analyze Requirements: Work with stakeholders to collect, document, and analyze business and technical needs.
- Process Documentation: Create workflows, use cases, and business process models to support the development team.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the link between business users and technical teams to ensure everyone is aligned.
- Solution Design Support: Participate in discussions to make sure proposed solutions meet business goals.
- Data Analysis: Interpret data to identify trends and support better decisions.
- User Stories: Write clear user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize the backlog for Agile teams.
- Project Support: Provide ongoing support to ensure smooth feature implementation and process integration.
Quality Assurance (QA)
- Test Planning & Execution: Write and run test plans, cases, and scripts to check that the software works correctly.
- Bug Tracking: Identify, log, and follow up on system issues in collaboration with developers.
- Automation (Optional): Help build or maintain automated tests where relevant.
- Regression Testing: Regularly test existing features to make sure new updates don’t break anything.
- Quality Standards: Ensure everything we deliver meets company quality standards and any required compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience
- At least 3 years of combined experience in Business Analysis and Quality Assurance.
- Comfortable working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Skilled in writing user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, JUnit) is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- High attention to detail and quality.
- Good time management and multitasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both functional and non-functional testing.
- Background in process improvement or reengineering.
- Knowledge of SQL for validating and analyzing data.
