Role Overview
We are looking for a highly capable and pragmatic AI professional to step in as a Senior AI Delivery Engineer. This role is designed to support the Head of AI in driving the delivery, alignment, and operationalization of AI initiatives, from PoC to production, while ensuring seamless team coordination, technical direction, and stakeholder communication.
You’ll spend approximately 50% of your time hands-on—designing, building, and deploying GenAI solutions, while actively mentoring and supporting other engineers throughout the development lifecycle. In addition to that, you will act as a right hand to the Head of AI — providing coverage, continuity, and shared leadership—making sure AI projects are scoped realistically, developed efficiently, and delivered with tangible business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Execution (50%)
• Design, implement, and deploy GenAI solutions from PoC to production, ensuring scalability and performance
• Collaborate with the team on model development, data preparation, evaluation, and MLOps integration
• Provide hands-on technical support and mentoring to engineers throughout the development lifecycle
• Stay up to date on LLMs and GenAI tools to ensure use of fit-for-purpose architectures and methods
• Ensure high-quality standards for AI solutions such as code quality, reproducibility, and maintainability through best engineering practices
Planning & Coordination
• Develop and maintain realistic delivery plans for AI initiatives
• Align team capacity, priorities, and workload across sprints
• Anticipate blockers and manage timelines, dependencies, and integration points
• Lead effective project meetings with clear agendas, notes, and follow-ups
• Ensure continuous documentation and communication of progress, risks, and next steps
Use Case Framing & Feasibility
• Support early-stage framing and feasibility assessment of AI use cases
• Translate business needs into actionable, well-defined technical problems
• Challenge unclear requirements and ensure focus on high-impact opportunities
Qualifications
• Strong technical background in AI/ML, with 5+ years executing and delivering endto-end AI solutions from concept to production
• Proficient in Python and experienced with modern AI frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, LangChain); hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Familiar with MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and production ML workflows
• Skilled in project delivery, stakeholder communication, and team collaboration
• Comfortable stepping into a deputy leadership role, balancing strategy with handson execution
• Agile, structured, and able to anticipate blockers and navigate complexity
• A reliable team player with a collaborative and pragmatic mindset
• Fluent in English and Portuguese
