A Day in the Life
The Sales Spine Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and promoting innovative spine solutions within the assigned territory. This role combines deep product knowledge, clinical expertise, and consultative selling to support surgeons, hospitals, and healthcare providers in improving patient outcomes.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for spine products within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and territory analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with spine surgeons, operating room staff, hospital administrators, and procurement teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, technical support, and after-sales service.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
- Provide in-theater (operating room) support to surgeons and surgical teams during spine procedures, ensuring proper product usage.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for healthcare professionals.
- Stay updated on the latest surgical techniques, product advancements, and competitor offerings.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records in lightening system.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate product deliveries, and manage consignment stock.
- Plan and schedule regular visits to key accounts to maintain engagement and uncover growth opportunities.
- Gather and report market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to the management team.
- Participate in conferences, trade shows, and workshops to promote the company’s spine portfolio.
- Ensure all sales activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant medical device regulations and compliance requirements.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Nursing or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2–5 years of sales experience in medical devices, preferably spine or orthopedics.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure surgical environments.
- Self-motivated with a track record of exceeding targets.
