We are currently looking for a new member for the Development team to join us in the position of Real Estate Investment Analyst.
Working Place: Sonae Sierra's Central Offices in Maia
Requirements:
- 2-5 years’ experience as a real estate investment analyst, having participated in complex real estate acquisitions and due diligence activities.
- Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. CFA designation is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial concepts to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques (including DCF), and in-depth knowledge of real estate investment metrics and financial concepts, including IRR, NPV and cash-on-cash returns.
- Strong understanding of real estate markets, property types, and industry dynamics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects independently when necessary.
- Excellent command of English (required)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis, feasibility studies, and due diligence for real estate investment opportunities.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models, forecasts, and investment valuations to support decision-making processes.
- Analyse market trends, economic factors, industry best practices, regulatory changes, and project comparables.
- Monitor, control and evaluate the financial performance of real estate developments, identifying areas for improvement and preparing comprehensive investment reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development management, legal, tax, finance, and property management, to accomplish financial objectives and strategies.
