About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, addressing their concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. You will continuously assess customer needs, monitor market trends, and analyze competitor activity to enhance service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
How You Will Contribute
- Manage file creation and oversee all services related to freight forwarding and logistics.
- Support account start-up by coordinating with sales to ensure all required documentation and information for SOPs are provided.
- Monitor and audit files weekly to ensure compliance with estimate input, profit margin settings, and timely invoicing.
- Assist clients with daily requests related to export/import documentation to ensure smooth execution of transportation files.
- Provide clients with complete flight/sailing details to ensure transparent and timely information flow.
- Coordinate with airlines and ocean carriers to secure optimal solutions in terms of capacity and cost.
- Collaborate with DPW’s internal network and external partner agents to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Respond promptly to any emergency situations that may arise during the lifecycle of air/ocean shipments.
- Work closely with fellow operations colleagues to provide support during periods of high workload.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant experience in freight forwarding operations and customer service.
- Solid and demonstrable working knowledge of the freight forwarding industry.
- Strong execution skills, with the ability to drive initiatives and ensure accurate and timely delivery through analysis, planning, and follow-up.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret numerical data.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, carriers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
