Main Responsibilities:
Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network devices, including CISCO switches and routers, Meraki cloud-managed devices, and basic monitoring using tools like PRTG.
Support the implementation and monitoring of network security measures, including basic configuration of FortiGate firewalls and Cisco L3 switch ACLs under supervision.
Respond to network-related incidents and service requests. Follow established procedures to ensure business continuity and meet SLAs.
Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and incidents. Assist in updating technical documentation.
Participate in training sessions and shadow senior team members to build technical and customer service skills.
Provide regular updates to senior network engineers or the Technology Manager on assigned tasks and incidents.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols like OSPF/BGP).
- Familiarity with CISCO networking equipment and Meraki cloud solutions is a plus.
- Interest in network security and willingness to learn firewall and ACL configurations.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT environment.
- English and Portuguese proficiency (written and spoken).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft services related to networking (e.g., DNS, DHCP, Active Directory) is desirable.
