We’re Hiring: Head Chef for a Family-Style Restaurant (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Service)
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at our warm and welcoming family restaurant.
We specialize in high-quality, comforting dishes and prefer chefs with experience in East Slavic cuisine (Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, etc.). If you’re creative, organized, and value a respectful team culture — we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cook delicious, well-presented dishes according to established recipes and technical cards
- Supervise kitchen operations and maintain high food quality standards
- Work closely with suppliers and control stock rotation and ingredient quality
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team while fostering a positive, respectful environment
- Keep calm and efficient during busy service hours
- Proactively solve problems and find practical solutions
- Communicate confidently in English (Portuguese is not required)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (head chef or sous-chef)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Familiarity with East Slavic cuisine preferred
- Ability to ensure consistency, hygiene, and excellent food presentation
- Enthusiasm to grow and evolve with a dedicated team
