About the Role
Are you passionate about laboratory operations and equipment management in a GMP-regulated environment? We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Gestor de Equipamento Analítico. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the heart of our facilities and lab operations, ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and exceptional customer service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Laboratory Operations
Coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) and track equipment performance
Provide basic training and troubleshooting support for common lab equipment
Manage Help Desk tickets and escalate operational issues
Assist with procurement of lab and office supplies
Ensure proper storage of hazardous and biohazardous materials
Monitor cryogenic gas and dry ice usage
Support upkeep of shared lab spaces and shipping/receiving logistics
Customer Service
Facilitate onboarding/offboarding of licensees
Coordinate specialty equipment training and facility modifications
Liaise with contractors and ensure smooth execution of changes
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
Promote adherence to EHS policies and site SOPs
Organize Safety Committee meetings and follow up on action items
Support emergency response and incident reporting
Assist with SOP creation, audits, and corrective actions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science (preferred) or related field
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a laboratory setting
Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
A hands-on, motivated individual with a “can-do” attitude
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
Familiarity with GMP standards and lab safety protocols
Knowledge of VWR products and services is a plus
Language: Portugese, English
Work Environment
Laboratory and production settings with standard lighting and ventilation
Physical activity includes standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating equipment
Use of both hands and feet for repetitive tasks; vision requirements include close and peripheral vision
