We are in search of a Deployment & Maintenance Buyer to join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring operational continuity, optimizing costs, enhancing supply chain efficiency, supporting business growth, and driving compliance through strategic procurement and supplier management.
This is a hybrid position, ideally based in Portugal but also open to our office in Paris.
What will be your responsibilities
- Oversee the sourcing and purchasing of tools, vehicles, spare parts and service suppliers required for Deployment & Maintenance operations for multiple countries;
- Lead RFP processes, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) meet company requirements ;
- Manage purchasing and contractual agreements for warehouse facilities and ensure a reliable supply of essential parts and equipment ;
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards, optimizing supplier terms, and evaluating alternative sourcing options ;
- Ensure timely acquisition and maintenance of company vehicles to support field operations ;
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements ;
- Work closely with operations, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement strategies with business needs ;
- Track supplier performance and procurement metrics to drive continuous improvement in sourcing and cost efficiency.
What are the requirements to join us in this position
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field;
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a similar role, preferably in a technical, logistics, or industrial environment;
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills;
- Experience with RFP processes, vendor selection, and supplier relationship management;
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, cost analysis, and logistics;
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Extra valued skills
- Previous experience in a start-up or fast-growing environment;
- Familiarity with deployment and maintenance operations in the industrial sector;
- Experience evaluating supplier performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating risks in the supply chain.
