Since December 2024, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team has been re-organized and is part of the Group Compliance & Sustainability Team, led by our Chief Compliance & Sustainability Officer. This wider team drives Vantiva’s efforts in ensuring compliance, managing risks, and advancing sustainability across all aspects of operations. The Organization is made of 3 centers of excellence, each focused on key strategic areas:
- Corporate Sustainability & Risk Management, ensures reliable Sustainability reporting while managing Compliance & ESG risks effectively.
- Product Sustainability, is responsible for embedding sustainability into our product lifecycle, this team works to deliver innovative, environmentally friendly solutions that meet our customers' needs.
- Privacy, AI, and Security Compliance, focuses on navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of data privacy, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. This team ensures compliance with global standards, safeguard trust in our technologies and physical security requirements.
These 3 teams collaborate closely to ensure a seamless integration of compliance and sustainability efforts across the Vantiva organization. Together, they help drive meaningful progress in these critical areas, ensuring our resilience and relevance in a fast-changing world
- Main missions
The Compliance Counsel is part of the Corporate Sustainability & Risk Management team which is also composed of one Social and CSR Management Controller, and one Environmental Specialist. All 3 roles report directly to the Corporate Sustainability & Risk Management Director who further reports to the Vantiva Chief Compliance & Sustainability Officer (a member of the Executive Leadership Team).
The mission of the Corporate Sustainability & Risk Management team is to work hand in hand with the Product Sustainability team with a special focus on Environmental matters and with other departments (including Sourcing, HR) as well as with different site Managers/leads.
The main mission of the role is to help drive the ESG roadmap of the Group and ensure accurate and timely reporting over ESG matters in the context of heightened compliance with European standards and best practices.
- Main roles and responsibilities
- Develop and lead internal awareness-raising campaigns on the Group's business ethics prevention program (anti-corruption, antitrust, internal fraud, conflicts of interest, etc.).
- Participate in drafting and updating the Group's business ethics policies.
- Participate in the risk mapping and definition of internal controls related to business ethics issues.
- Ensure that the Group's compliance training objectives are met (communication, reminders, assistance).
- Prepare and update questionnaires for the relevant regulatory authorities.
- Prepare activity reports for the Ethics and Compliance Committee, the Audit Committee and the Executive Committee.
- Monitor indicators relating to transactions requiring internal approval (gifts and invitations, sponsorship and donations, conflicts of interest, etc.).
- Review and validate legal clauses relating to business ethics in contracts.
- Ensure the due diligence of third parties with regard to economic sanctions and ESG criteria and ensure regular monitoring of these due diligence throughout the contractual relationship.
- Monitor annual declaration of interest campaigns (including signature of associated policies).
- Co-host, with the Chief Compliance Officer, meetings of the Ethics and Compliance Committee, and take care of the administrative aspects (notetaking, organization of meetings and their agenda).
- Participate in coordinating the Compliance network (preparation and implementation of training courses and presentations, follow-up of exchanges, organization of meetings).
- Maintain a legal watch on business ethics (national and international).
- Answer any questionnaire related to Business Ethics matters and update the annual Sustainability Statement disclosure for Governance Information and point of contact for CSRD audit
Qualifications
With a master’s degree in business law, ideally with a specialization or additional training in business ethics, the compliance counsel has around 5 years of similar experience in a law firm or a company with international, public and/or private activities. Familiarity with ESG matters would be an asset.
