Job Description
As part of its development in Europe, GreenYellow is looking for a Solar PV Project Manager. Reporting to the Operations Director in Portugal, you will support the development of GreenYellow Portugal through the development of solar PV projects in Portugal.
You will be responsible for the engineering phase of offers, calculating and sizing self-consumption industrial installations through PPAs. In addition, you will support the commercial team by helping to expand the local business.
Main Activities and Tasks:
Find leads and opportunities in new photovoltaic projects, mainly rooftop (500 kWp to 5+ MWp) in Portugal.
Identify, analyse and evaluate project development opportunities.
Manage the project development phase (schedule, budget).
Analyse financial aspects of the project (business plan).
Negotiate the commercial proposal with the client until the sale is concluded.
Attend and manage the entire business development process, including tendering and active commercial prospecting.
Develop commercial proposals with proprietary financial models.
Work with other team members to generate new opportunities through market entry strategies such as prospecting, networking, account profiling and others.
Manage and lead all aspects of development activities including timelines, project scope, resources and budgets.
Conduct client/site visits in Portugal.
Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and other relevant bodies such as governments, regulatory bodies and relevant legislative officials.
Identify, research and manage local partners with competencies in line with GY quality level.
Ensure the interface between GreenYellow and its partners with client management for each project.
You will be supported by GY's centralised services (commercial, purchasing, finance, engineering) and you will be trained in GY's methods and tools, in particular GreenYellow's photovoltaic dimensioning methods by experienced engineers.
You will also participate in the construction of a new GreenYellow company in Portugal, taking on more responsibility for the development of the company.
In addition, you will be able to count on both external and internal resources provided to help you succeed in all your projects.
Profile:
Degree in Engineering (preferably electrical, electronic, industrial, civil, environmental) and a Master's degree related to renewables (a Master's in photovoltaics will be a plus).
At least 2 years of experience in the sector, designing similar installations.
Strong knowledge of PVsyst, AutoCAD, SketchUp.
Degree and/or Master's degree in the field of energy or business. Knowledge of photovoltaic engineering will be a plus.
2 to 3 years of experience in business development related to solar PV. Previous experience with self-consumption will be a plus.
Business experience in the Portuguese market.
Entrepreneurial mindset.
Strong knowledge of general finance and commercial proposal writing.
Commercial negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
Strong project and contract management skills.
Fluency in Portuguese and English; French will be a plus.
Strong interest in energy transition and decarbonisation processes.
English: minimum B2 level.
Driving license.
Previous experience in a foreign country will be a plus.
