What’s the role about?
Provide operational procurement support for GKN plants internationally within the Global Business Services (GBS) Procurement Porto service related scope.
What you'll do?
- Perform daily operational GBS procurement contract and order management related activities according to instructions: price updates, price validation and price discrepancy resolution, requisition validation, purchase order creation and follow-up.
- Perform month-end related operational activities, such as extraction of reports and simple data preparation to use in reports.
- Communicate efficiently with the main internal stakeholders: local and global teams, Accounts Payable Team; and external suppliers whenever necessary.
- Communicate efficiently within the team being a team player.
- Learn and develop technical and process related skills.
- Adhere to service levels, policies and procedures.
- Support others by carrying out simple procurement tasks. Involves following established procedures.
- Work with guidance but not constant supervision for the execution of the daily and monthly activities.
What are we looking for?
- Effectively and efficiently applies ERPs/Office and system related applications.
- Uses clear and effective verbal and written communication to report issues or take operational action according to the established procedures and guidelines.
- Time management, organization and awareness of the time spent per task.
- Takes action and initiative to resolve claims.
- Manages backlog efficiently and communicates effectively with the related stakeholders during the process.
- Has analytical and critical thinking. Participates in the process optimization and improvement.
