About the team:
The DBA team is scaling rapidly due to increased client wins and demand, supporting clients globally. We serve both external clients - banks and financial institutions worldwide, and internal clients - our development teams. We are seeking a DBA with relevant work experience in database administration. You will be part of a team who will be designing, implementing, and supporting our clients.
Our work focuses on addressing complex technical requests related to database performance optimization, configuration, and integration challenges at the intersection of various database systems with our core product. You will act as a key player in the successful delivery of client solutions, working across different time zones and technical environments to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Perform advanced database performance tuning and optimization across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and SYBASE environments.
- Provide expert-level support and guidance to internal DBA teams and external clients.
- Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of database systems.
- Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design scalable and efficient database solutions.
- As part of R&D team, analyze new features and new databases, how it can be implemented in our software product
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures and FAQ.
We expect you to have:
- Significant hands-on experience as a Database Administrator, with a solid focus on Oracle.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MSSQL, SYBASE, MariaDB, and MySQL.
- Strong SQL scripting and query optimization skills.
- Proven experience in performance troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Good soft skills and a strong commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and automation frameworks is considered a plus.
