MARKETING ANALYST - COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE

Job Description
We are seeking a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join our team, focusing on advanced data analysis and modeling to provide actionable market and competitive insights. This role requires a highly analytical professional with a strong business acumen and 3-5 years of relevant experience. You will leverage your expertise in Excel, and either SQL, SAS, or Databricks, to gather, synthesize, and model complex datasets that support strategic business decisions and competitive positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Modeling:
Design and develop quantitative models to analyze competitive landscape, market trends, and business performance. Deliver clear, data-driven insights to support sales, marketing, and product strategies.Competitive Intelligence Gathering:
Collect and synthesize data from internal sources, external market research, and public databases to monitor competitor activities, industry developments, and emerging threats or opportunities.Dashboard & Reporting:
Build and maintain insightful dashboards and reports using Excel and tools such as SQL, SAS, or Databricks to track key performance indicators and market signals.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Strategy, and Product teams to align intelligence with business objectives, assisting in the formulation of commercial strategies.Business Acumen:
Translate complex data into actionable business recommendations. Identify trends and risks that may affect market share and growth.Presentation & Communication:
Prepare clear, structured presentations and communicate findings effectively to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.Continuous Improvement:
Stay current on the latest analytics techniques and business intelligence tools to optimize data processes and enhance insight delivery.
Desired Skills & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
3-5 years of professional experience in competitive intelligence, market analysis, data analytics, or similar roles.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros).
Strong SQL skills or expertise with SAS or Databricks platforms for data querying, manipulation, and modeling.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into strategic action.
Solid business acumen and understanding of competitive market dynamics, ideally within logistics, ecommerce, or technology sectors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience delivering presentations to business leaders.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English (spoken and written) is required.
