About The Role:
The People Payroll team together with our People Operations Team are the building blocks of our People function. With strong, robust and efficient operations, we grow our partnerships with the business and create a meaningful employee experience. We are looking for an (International) Payroll Specialist/Lead to strengthen our People Payroll Team.
You are end-to-end responsible for the payroll process in all countries where our Catawikians are based. Of course, we want to pay our employees all over the world their salaries on time and ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll. This includes collecting and providing payroll data to the local payroll providers and reviewing the completed payroll reports. Currently, our Catawikians are based in 8 European countries, a few countries outside Europe and we are expanding further on a global level.
What You’ll Do:
Collect payroll data from internal departments, organize and submit to local payroll providers monthly
Review payroll output reports to ensure variable data is processed correctly
Act as the first point of contact for local payroll providers
Be the go-to person for all employee payroll questions
Track compliance with local legislation
Collaborate with external parties (lawyers, tax advisors) for advice on local labor law and fiscal rules
Align with Finance team on payroll reporting
Support People Operations Team with automation, innovation, and continuous improvement
Work closely with Finance, Legal, Recruitment and Business Partners to optimize employee processes and experiences

What You’ll Bring:
3 years of experience in international payroll across EU countries (Dutch payroll is a big plus)
Ability to identify compliance risks and act accordingly
Skills in structuring complex processes and identifying improvements
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Proactive, eager to learn and service-oriented mindset
Strong communication, accuracy and integrity
Adaptability and prioritization to meet deadlines
Fluent in English (mandatory); Dutch, Portuguese, or another EU language (French, Italian, Spanish, German) is a plus
