About the job:
As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of Biocol Labs. You will be responsible for financial reporting, payments, and data analysis to support strategic decision-making. Working closely with the Finance Manager and external accountants, you’ll gain hands-on experience in financial processes, compliance, and budget forecasting.
This role is ideal for finance or accountants looking to transition into financial control. It offers a fast-learning environment, direct impact on business decisions, and the opportunity to grow into a more senior finance role in a dynamic start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with financial reporting, payments, and analysis to support company-wide decisions.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
Manage invoice reconciliation and payment control, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Act as the main liaison with external accounting teams, ensuring smooth financial operations.
Support budget forecasting and financial planning by providing data-driven insights.
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and best practices.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience
Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in English and Portuguese
Nice-to-Have Skills:
➕ Experience with accounting systems and invoice reconciliation.
➕ Background in a start-up or eCommerce environment.
