What you’ll do
The Finance Services Manager is the responsible for overall preparation and filing of the financial statements. The person will ensure the financial/accounting operational support to Management and Local Chief Accountant as has well as guide for Vodafone Portugal in accounting procedures, in any project. It will manage service lines delivery (under her/his perimeter) has well subledger coordination, ensuring central oversight.
The Finance Services Manager will also supervise BS & FS of any company where Vodafone Portugal act as parent company (or as minor shareholder).
- Prepare and review financial statements (FS) in accordance with applicable accounting standards, as well other regulatory reports (e.g., statistics, sustainability)
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of MEC/YEC (Month-End/Year-End Closing) processes
- Support audit processes including administration and coordination with internal and external auditors
- Provide finance business support to subsidiaries, joint ventures and any M&A operation
- Manage the error handling and provide support for Service Lines
- To ensure that the procedures/rules adopted in the financial flows are implemented under proper control and in accordance with applicable accounting standards/Group and tax rules
- To ensure the existence of controls and their effectiveness, depending on the degree of risk of each process, in the overall accounts
- Supervise Half Year and Year End external audit procedures and act as SPOC with External Auditors
- Support Vodafone Fiscal Committee
- Align with Controlling, FP&A and Local Chief Accountant to track business-related risks, opportunities, and KPIs
- Lead and support finance-related projects and change initiatives
- Design and implement commercial product postings and operationalize new accounting standards
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems
- Ensure accounting compliance to guarantee that financial statements and management information show the true position of the Company
- Define procedures, administrative and technical for areas under responsibility, to accurate and optimise the Company’s processes
- Responsible for the Fixed Assets Reconciliation
- Maximise and manage the support of the Service Lines, in responsibility areas
- Managed country statutory reporting requirements

- Qualified accountant with experience of Auditing
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to ensure credibility and trust with management
- English Fluency
- Strong prioritisation and organizational skills
