As an Engineering Manager (Mobile), you'll play a key role in our innovative team dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for our global customers.
From powering platforms like NBCUniversal’s Peacock in the United States to Sky’s NOW, and SkyShowtime across Europe, and now Showmax in over 40 countries in Africa, one thing’s for certain, your contributions will impact millions of viewers worldwide.
What You'll Do:
- Manage a squad of talented engineers by providing mentorship
- Lead, inspire and ensure psychological safety on your team
- Oversee 5-8 passionate software engineers
- Ensure that your team has the needed space to achieve both personal and professional goals
- Define quarterly OKRs, defining team goals and priorities
- Be a technical contributor as much as needed, helping your team
- Deliver highly scalable and highly reliable products (yes, our customers expect 99.999% availability)
- Be able to communicate and manage efficiently different stakeholders
- Promote best technology and software development practices into the team with passion and enthusiasm
- Contribute to the whole development cycle, analysis, implementation, testing and operation
- Deliver products our customer’s love
What You'll Bring:
- Engineering expertise in Mobile development (iOS or Android)
- Experienced with Android (Kotlin or Java) or iOS (Swift or Objective-C)
- Previous experiencie of modern Architecture, Frameworks & Design Patterns
- An agile and dynamic approach to delivery
- Previous experience managing software engineering teams (mandatory)
- Great communication and management skills
- Relentless focus on our customer’s experience and application performance
- Continuous Integration/Deployment tools and processes
- Ability to work well in a team, self-driven and eager to learn
- Creative thinking, analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Fluent in English
