Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced DBA Oracle to join our dynamic team. As a DBA Oracle, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's Oracle databases, ensuring their efficiency, security, and availability. You will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and optimize database solutions that meet our business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products
- Monitor and maintain database performance, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
- Implement and maintain database security measures to protect against unauthorized access
- Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database structures and objects
- Participate in database design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements
- Perform database capacity planning and recommend hardware and software upgrades as needed
- Create and maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle technologies and best practices to continuously improve database operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DBA Oracle
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning
- Experience with Oracle database installation, configuration, and upgrade
- Familiarity with database security and backup and recovery strategies
- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL programming
- Knowledge of SQL and MySQL databases is valued
- Good knowledge of Linux Red Hat and Oracle Linux operating systems.
- Good knowledge of the Oracle Virtualization Server hypervisor and its management
- Knowledge of AWS and AWS cloud data technologies is valued.
- Knowledge of data architectures and transactional data services, reporting services, integration (ETL and integration services), and analytics (analysis services)
