Natixis in Portugal is part of the Global Financial Services division, where it applies technology for the development of financial expertise in its two global business lines – Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset & Wealth Management – and, transversally, for the entities of Groupe BPCE.
The Centre of Expertise, based in Porto, currently has more than 2,400 employees from over 30 nationalities, organised in three main departments: Information Technology, Banking Support Activities and Compliance. Job Description
Team presentation and main goal:
The data engineer is a computer developer whose mission is to implement the collection and availability of data within the company. They are also responsible for industrializing and putting into production processes on the data (for example: providing dashboards, integrating statistical models) in collaboration with business teams and the teams that analyze them.
Main tasks and goals:
Production (50%)
- Ensure production monitoring and maintenance - Feed the CRM and other recurring programs.
- Ensure documentation of processes.
- Automate manual processes if necessary.
- Develop technical solutions that meet business needs.
Management (25%)
- Implement, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns.
- Participate in the preparation and analysis of marketing campaign reports.
Business Requests (20%)
- Analyze and understand expressed business needs.
- Prioritize requests based on their impact and the company’s priorities.
- Respond to requests within the specified deadlines, proposing suitable solutions.
- Rigorously document processes and analyses performed.
- Implement automation solutions to optimize efficiency and task recurrence.
Appendices (5%)
- Conduct in-depth ad hoc analyses:
- Perform thorough analyses on Additional Business activities.
- Actively participate in the migration of SAS systems to more modern technologies, in collaboration with the relevant teams.
Qualifications
- Holder of a higher education degree (Master's level minimum) in statistics, computer science, data science, finance, or a related field.
- Significant experience of at least three (3) years as a Data Analyst / Data Engineer, ideally acquired in the banking sector.
- Expert in data engineering: organize, automate, and optimize data production processes.
- Proven experience in managing complex data flows.
- Expert proficiency in SQL language.
- Advanced proficiency in Alteryx (Server and Desktop).
- Knowledge and ability to understand existing SAS scripts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of the banking sector.
- Proficient in Power BI for data visualization.
- Experience in project management, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English and French (minimum B2).
Soft Skills:
- Communicative.
- Analytical and synthesis mindset.
- Critical sense and ability to identify errors and inconsistencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with different types of stakeholders, especially in presenting results and recommendations.
