BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Customer Planner (M/F/D) at our production plant in Viana, Portugal.
Key Accountabilities:
- Receiving customer orders and integrating them into the ERP system; Checking and analyzing stock coverage in the ERP system;
- Managing the flow of information with the Productions Planners in order to guarantee that customer orders are fulfilled;
- Managing the flow of information with the Warehouse through the shipping board platform;
- Managing communication with the customer to ensure that customer orders are processed and products are shipped, as well as sending delivery plans (Delivery Performance to Customer; Regular & Premium freight costs);
- Managing transport reservations on customer portals;
- Monitoring the shipping process with the warehouse and carriers to ensure that the process runs smoothly;
- Receipt of parts returned from customers in the ERP system, in partnership with the Quality Department, with the aim of understanding whether or not it is viable;
- Monitoring customer portals and following up on service rates and possible associated complaints;
- Carrying out cascade analysis of customers and production to ensure a good flow of internal and external information in order to make decisions in line with the defined strategy.
- Creating setups in the ERP system to guarantee the proper running of the shipping process.
- Reviewing customer MMOGs;
- Controlling finished goods inventory levels so as not to accumulate stock (Finished Goods DOH and Excess & Obsolete);
- Develop a culture characterized by good professional ethics and involvement in the process among employees in all áreas;
- Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards;
- Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, practice and working period;
- Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules;
- Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which they were hired, when the needs or convenience of service so warrant, for the period of time necessary for the aforementioned needs or convenience of service.
Education & Experience
- Technical course (level 5) or degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management or equivalent is required
- 2 years + of Customer planning experience working in an automotive production environment
- Experience in automotive and /or EMS industry is an advantage
- Negotiation Experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Web based Intranet Systems, SAP knowledge is a plus
- Enthusiastic, flexible and keen approach to learning, etc.
- Ability to lead a team
- Critical Analysis Skills
- Structured individual with good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and able to deal with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize work accordingly
- Must be able to work alone with minimum guidance but also be able to operate effectively as part of a team.
- Must be self-motivated/directed. Required to determine most, if not all, of own work assignments; both tactical and strategic.
