As our client base grows, we are seeking a Corporate Junior Accountant to join our expanding team in Porto, Portugal. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment and develop your skills within an international context.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
- Review financial information from clients and cross-reference it with information on the Portuguese Tax Authority system.
- Communicate with clients to retrieve missing documents, such as bank statements and invoices.
Tax Obligations
- Prepare tax returns and fulfil all tax-related obligations for corporate clients.
Reporting
- Compile regular reports for clients, detailing transactions, payroll, accounting records, and other relevant data.
Expense Reviews
- Perform monthly reviews of client expenses to ensure all data is accurate and consistent.
Client Communication
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients via phone, WhatsApp, and email, addressing any queries they may have.
Additional Tasks
- Provide support to the Senior Accountant and complete ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications
- Certificado Nível Secundário de Educação or equivalent (A-C level qualifications).

- Organisational Skills – Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced work environment.
- Relationship Building – Capable of establishing strong professional relationships with clients, team members, and associates.
- Communication Skills – Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in Portuguese and English.
- Attention to Detail – Meticulous and methodical approach to work with a focus on accuracy.
- MS Suite & Technology - Exceptional experience with MS Outlook, MS Excel, Zoom, Accounting Software (not mandatory) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software
Position Details
- Location: Porto, Portugal
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
