Job Description
The Category Manager will lead Engine Parts category with the goal of boosting sales, profits, and customer satisfaction metrics. This will be achieved by optimizing product mix, working on category presentation to ensure an exceptional customer experience on AUTODOC’s web and app platforms across target markets. The role focuses on driving category strategy development and execution to meet business objectives (P&L responsibilities).
The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who is driven by continuous improvement, capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively, and possesses a passion for crafting exceptional consumer experiences, demonstrates strong ownership and commitment, and has proven leadership experience in driving cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category-specific strategies to maximize sales and profit on target markets.
- Creating and implementing an annual category development plan.
- Define and enforce rules for assortment mix to optimize product offerings. Creating an assortment matrix for various business models.
- Establish category-specific pricing policies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Set requirements for the presentation of goods on Autodoc platforms to enhance customer experience collaborating with the Product Tech team.
- Lead performance reviews and ensure effective execution of Category strategies.
- Participating in negotiations and regular business reviews with key players in assigned categories
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years working in a vendor management/category management/assortment management or P/L ownership role preferred
- 3+ years in Automotive or Automotive spare parts
- Graduate or equivalent experience in business
- Ownership – thinks like an owner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven negotiation skills, influencing abilities
- Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
- Innovative, team oriented, and have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- English B1, fluency in additional European languages is preferable
