The Opportunity
You will work within the Claims department of WTW Netherlands, a team of specialists delivering claims services and solutions across all our lines of business: Property, Marine, CAR, Liability, FINEX, and SME/Fleet.
Claims services and solutions are a vital and distinctive part of WTW’s broader client proposition. Claims roles at WTW are both client- and insurer-facing. You will be part of a global team of over 1,400 claims professionals, leveraging technical expertise, senior-level relationships, data, and insights to serve clients, collaborate with insurers, and drive innovation.
As a Business Support Specialist – Claims, you will support Claims Handlers with daily tasks and manage provincial claims for SME/Fleet.
What will you do?
Your main responsibilities include:
- Accurately registering new claims, identifying discrepancies, and properly storing claim documents
- Actively monitoring claim statuses and contributing to turnaround time improvements
- Preparing claim statements and carefully checking and processing financial data in the system
- Initiating process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Updating claim reserves and preparing claim overviews
- Handling provincial SME/Fleet claims
- Answering incoming calls and either resolving them or forwarding to the appropriate Claims Handler
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring

- Experience in a similar role within the insurance industry
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, the Wft Business Insurance certification
- Understanding of the fundamentals of insurance contracts is desirable
- Proven experience in administrative and financial tasks; familiarity with e-ABS is a strong advantage
- Fluency in Dutch (minimum B2, ideally C1) and a good command of English, both spoken and written
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A structured, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to following procedures and meeting deadlines
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to summarise complex information
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
