About the role:
This is a key role within the Convatec Technology and Innovation (T&I) team, a group that spends $100M+ annually to discover, design, build, and launch the products that will enable the company’s future success. As the T&I Analyst Finance Business Partner, you will support the T&I Finance Business Partner, the CTO and the VP of Finance and Strategy to maximize business return for Convatec while helping to deploy Convatec capital to maximize value. You will be a trusted and relied upon partner across the T&I organization who will help T&I continue to expand its financial analysis and decision-making capabilities as both Convatec and our T&I organization continue to grow.
Reporting to the T&I Senior Finance Business Partner, this is an individual contributor role that will work very closely with Convatec Business Service (CBS) stakeholders to support the finance function, improve the T&I finance process, and develop key insights to help T&I leaders make decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the T&I finance function ( Work with VP Finance, FBP and FP&A to develop budgets, Estimates and Latest Views; Work with the FP&A and Project leaders to ensure projects and cost center’s are setup correctly; Work with the Record to Report (R2R) pillar and controlling to ensure actuals are accurate and produced in a timely manner; Responsibility for financial reporting budgeting and forecasting for central T&I areas (IM/IT, CTO, External Innovation, Strategy, PMO); Managing T&I Finance Queries and working with CBS Pillars and T&I organization to solve)
Conduct financial analyse (Provide analysis of cost overspends and underspends to help T&I take corrective action and to stay on track; Develop financial models to help T&I make decisions; Provide proactive and reactive analytical support and insights to FBP, VP Finance and the T&I Organization)
Expand the T&I finance capabilities (Driving improvements in the T&I Finance Processes and Systems; Support the FPB with T&I Finance improvements activities)

Skills & Experience:
2+ years’ experience in Accounting, Business or Finance
Analytical and critical thinking abilities
Ability to see the “big picture”, with attention to detail where necessary
Ability to develop effective relationships and maintain constructive communication across wide spectrum of internal stakeholders in a matrix environment
Able to use tool such as Microsoft Excel to analyze, develop models and tell a story with data
Ability to convert financial analyses into insights and communicate them to a wide range of stakeholders
Basic knowledge of accounting, such as accruals and pre-payments, would be an advantage
Any knowledge of financial / ERP systems, such as SAP, would be an advantage
Qualifications & Education:
Business, Accounting or Finance related degree
Working Conditions:
Hybrid working – 1 day per week in the office driven by business requirements as Convatec has a flexible approach to office working.
